The scratches are light and do not alter the attractive glossy light to medium brown toning. There is a small splash of reddish chocolate brown toning at TO in AUCTORI and a small, shallow planchet flake under the E in CONNEC. Late die state with a slightly sunken retained cud break outside AUCT. The date and legends are strong. Superior to the Taylor and Perkins examples of this extremely rare variety, and possibly finest known. Weight 135.4 grains.

Slightly sharper but covered with uniform fine granularity that's mostly hidden by a slightly glossy steel brown and chocolate patina. No marks or verdigris. The bisecting obverse die crack is strong, and the extension from the tip of the nose is bold (the so-called snipe nose break). The obverse is nicely centered on the planchet but the reverse is off a bit to the bottom leaving only the top half of the date visible. Weight 130.9 grains.
